What is more interesting than discovering a new place on your own? Travelling solo is exciting and BELIEVE ME sometimes it’s necessary. You can be an unfiltered version of yourself. Everyone loves to travel with friends and also sometimes with family. But why not solo?

Personally, why I enjoy travelling solo is I can be myself, no fear of what people think about me. It makes me feel more confident. I love meeting new people and to know about their culture, their lifestyle and exploring unseen places- least to say. While travelling with friends or family it’s more of usual chats and gossips.

Besides, this the benefits of solo travel are endless.

 Here are few:

‘THE’ flexibility:

When it comes to deciding the place to visit it’s harder when you have to take into consideration more than one person’s opinion. No one considers your interest (it happens with me as I’m younger one!). You’ll end up negotiating priorities and compromise. While travelling solo you are the king – Just do what your heart says.

‘EXPLORE’ new things-

As I told you travelling in a group is more of chatting, clicking photos, spending time with friends. But, you can explore new things only when you are travelling alone and believe me it’s fun to know about the new places, the people their customs, their festivals.

Builds confidence

From the moment you begin a journey, you realize what you are capable of doing all by yourself and you will naturally become more confident. Because no one else is there to do it for you!  It might be difficult at first, you may think to back off, there will be a time when you will feel lonely, but after some time you will become more comfortable with your own company.

 Enjoy some ‘YOU’ time!

It’s the perfect way to escape from a routine of constant negotiations, whether it’s in the workplace or at home. A better way to connect with you is to know yourself.

Get yourself out of the busy and monotonous routine. Connect with yourself in a better way. It’s a unique and memorable experience that you should try at least once in a lifetime. And the biggest advantage, you don’t have to share your food with others!

What is your experience of travelling solo?

Do you think I missed any advantage that you feel to have?
