Two nail-biting matches that made the fans heartbeat go up and down. Cricket World Cup Finale and the Wimbledon Championship made sure that we all had exciting and thrilling Sunday. Both the games had their own outcomes and winner but hearts and applauds were for each and every player who made it worth a watch.

World Cup 2019 :

With every Indian hope shattered in semi finale match, we still are proud of the team. They strived and came up to the top position on the table. The players gave us centuries and a pinch of the emotional ride in every match they played. We will always say “Bleed Blue” and be there with the team.

The finale saw much more than all the finale matches world cup has witnessed. From England and New Zealand entering the finale for the first time to having a super over in the finale for the first time, the match was a complete “Paisa Vasool” match. England won the cup and New Zealand won everybody’s heart. It was an unpredictable match where every ball brought a new turn in the match. Tied match and then super over again being tied but boundaries in favor of England are being questioned by experts and critics about whether the rules are right or need reframing. This world cup has seen retirements and tears but in the end, England lifted their first World Cup title. Their happiness is above everything else but New Zealand has all our hearts and tears with them.

Being a cricket fan myself, this World cup had excited me the most. I missed seeing Team India in the final but the final teams showed us what real cricket is.

Wimbledon Championship :

Another emotional match that engaged the globe was Wimbledon Championship 2019. With every moment turning interesting and exciting, N. Djokovic made it one more time. To be honest, even regular watchers are finding the events of Sunday evening a little difficult to digest. Did all of that really happen? Did Federer really serve as a dream until he reached two match points at 8-7 in the fifth set, when every serve suddenly started coming back? Did Djokovic really look like a man who couldn’t get more than two shots over the net, until suddenly he couldn’t miss? Did the earth really stop spinning?

Djokovic fought not just the player at the other side of the net, but also a 15-000 strong contingent constantly cheering every one of his mistakes. “If you have the majority of the crowd on your side, it helps, it gives you motivation, it gives you strength, it gives you energy. When you don’t, then you have to find it within, I guess. When the crowd is chanting ‘Roger’ I hear ‘Novak’,” he said after the match.

He deserves love and respect. he deserves those titles that he has earned with his outstanding chase and shots. He is the Man of the hour and Roger, we still are your biggest fan.
