On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the National Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism (NIMCJ), Gujarat, on September 10, 2021, welcomed the Vighneshwaray {lord of all obstacles} Ganesh ji in the campus with the greatest of pomp and vigour. 

Undoubtedly, the preparation for the event was initiated days ago, as all the students, be it the across campus gave their contribution to embellish not just the aasan {saddle} of Lord Ganesh but the whole campus with artistic elements and most importantly with the devotion and love for Vignaharta { destroyer of obstacles} Ganeshji. With the last two years being difficult for everyone, the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi brought joy amongst the students. 

The elation with which the entire studio was filled with, was directly seen through the Garba performance by the students as the teachers mingled. Liveliness poured through each and every soul present there as Ganpati Bappa arrived in the campus with showering of flower petals, sound of dhol.

The chief guests, Shri Kirtikumar Parmar (Mayor of Ahemdabad), Shri Himanshu Pandya (Chancellor of Gujarat University) and Shri Jagdish Bhavsar (Vice Chancellor of Gujarat University) marked their presence and after soulful performances of students, the melodious aarti gave kick-start to the festival of Ganesh chaturthi!

While providing their wise words, Shri Himanshu Pandya described how even after being so diverse, we are all connected, and that makes our country called a country of festivals, because we celebrate everything with the zeal that assures our lives are filled with Peace!

NIMCJ delivered heartfelt gratitudes towards the Guests for adding glory to the event. 

Rest days would too be celebrated with the same pomp and request that the unsaid prayers be answered!
