India is a colorful country where people celebrate every festival with the same enthusiasm and excitement. Here, every day is a new day and a new festival. People love to spend time with family especially on festive season such as Diwali, Holi, Makar Sankranti, Navratri, Raksha Bandhan. Any festival is incomplete when the beloved ones are miles away from home. Likewise, Rakhi is a festival of love, care, and protection. एक राखी फौजी के नाम’ – an initiative to send the rakhis to our jawans who not only protect their sisters but the whole nation. An individual feels safe in India only because of those who are working hard at the borders to maintain the security of our country. Author and Journalist, Mr. Harshal Pushkarna started the campaign named ‘Siachen Awareness Drive’ in 2016 to aware people about the arm forces, to make them realize that country is safe because of the Indian armed forces. Under this campaign, a program ‘एक राखी फौजी के नाम’ is successfully going under the supervision of the author and journalist and the member of Safari magazine.

According to Harshal Pushkarna, the main idea behind Siachen Awareness Drive is manifested in two ways: “to ignite the spirit of patriotism in the people of India and to encourage the youth to join the army and serve the nation”. Moreover, he encourages the audience to write letters and greeting cards to the soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces.
