The Father:- 

This story is about Anthony, who lives with his daughter Anne and the guy she’s with named Paul. Anthony has dementia, and day by day his condition worsens. Anne asks him to have a carer for himself or she’ll have to move him to a nursing home, as she’s moving to Paris with Paul. She then hires Laura. 

There comes a moment where he forgets who Paul is and who Anne is. The plot takes twists and turns at a rapid pace, and before you can even think about what’s going to happen next, it’ll surprise you. 

This is a drama movie Directed and co-written by Florian Zeller. With cast of Anthony Hopkins As Anthony, Olivia Colman as Anne, Rufus Sewell as Paul and Imogen Poots as Laura.

Nomadland:-   [Streaming on Hulu]

It’s hard to find poetry in a movie. Movies which are full of words, emotions and acting but come out as poetry. This movie is one of those. 

The story is of a woman named Fern, who was completely happy belonging to Empire, Nevada; one of those small towns surrounded by industrial sectors of America. When the industries shut down, people started leaving the town.

Later on her Husband dies as well, leaving her alone to look after herself. So she sets out on the road, in a van, working at different places, not staying at one place for long in order to heal along the way and find herself again. She also meets a group of modern day nomads on the way who she gets along with very well. It is a mind grasping film that’s kind of a dream, depicting the plot of the characters in a way no one’s ever seen in the movies. 

This is an American Drama film based on the non-fiction book Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First century by Jessica Bruder. Starring Frances McDormand as Fern, David Strathairn as Dave and Bob Wells as Bob.

Minari:-       [Streaming on Amazon Prime Video]

A beautiful yet struggling movie to see and go through. The exact depiction of hardships and struggles that the immigrants actually have to go through. The Korean Immigrants, the Yi family move to the middle of nowhere to Arkansas where Jacob tries to give farming Korean vegetables a chance and try his luck selling in the city. Monica being a supporting wife to her husband’s decision. 

Given their history of employment, they did the work of examining the gender if chicks and it’s not going to be as easy as it seems with their two children to take care of. Elder daughter Anne, who is witty and mature enough to understand the world around her. A son younger to Anne named David. Watch the movie and find out how it escalates and intrigues you. 

This is an American drama film written and directed by Lee Isaac Chung, starring Steven Yeun as Jacob, Han Ye-ri as Monica, Alan Kim as David and Noel Kate as Anne.

Raya and the Last Dragon:- [Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar Premium]

You ever wondered about how you want to start something but you can’t? How you want to fix something, but you can’t? How do you want to trust someone but you can’t? 

Well it might sound a little “easier said than done” but it all begins with the first step. All you need to do is take that little leap of faith and just begin. 

Take the first step. The rest will follow. 

Well this movie is all about that. Raya sets out the mission that her father always dreamed of and that is of bringing their people together. Watch her set out on a journey never seen before and we assure you, that you won’t regret it.

Judas and the Black Messiah:-   [Rent on book my show for Rs. 149]

A triggering movie with lots of twists and turns along the edge. A must watch for everyone. Story of Fred Hampton, Deputy Chairman of the Illinois Black Panther party. How William O’Neal is asked to go undercover for the Bureau to infiltrate the BPP and get close to Fred Hampton and relay information to the Bureau in exchange for his freedom where the Bureau will be dropping all the charges against him. 

Watch the movie out for a much clearer picture of how things go from thereon. This is a Biography Film Starring Daniel Kaluuya as Fred Hampton, Lakeith Stanfield as William O’Neal and Jesse Plemons as Roy Mitchell [The FBI agent who approaches O’Neal].

If you’re a sucker for emotional movies that take you on a very emotional roller coaster ride, then this one’s for you. This is not a typical sappy romantic movie and about constant turmoil of emotions. This movie is about celebrating friendship, its ups and downs. Where the actors convey what they are supposed to, by expressing raw emotions. A movie that’s more than what stories and poetries will ever be.

This is a comedy drama film directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite, starring Dakota Johnson as Nicole Teague, Casey Affleck as Matthew Teague and Jason Segel as Dane Faucheux.

If you’re a fan of the ultimate Monsterverse, then make sure not to miss out on this one. A sequel to Godzilla: King of the monsters and Kong: Skull Island. A crossover that nobody expected directed by Adam Wingard.

Ah!!! the classic tom & jerry pair just like the classic pair of annoying siblings. I’m sure if any of you readers have siblings, you know what I’m talking about.

An American slapstick comedy film starring Chloe Grace Moretz as Kayla. Tom dreams of becoming a pianist in the great New York City while Jerry is set on finding his new home. What will happen when they come across each other with Kayla getting all caught in their drama and chaos?

The Mauritanian:-  [Streaming on Amazon Prime Video]

 This movie is about setting a person free of Mauritanian background who is falsely accused as one of the terrorists who were present in the 9/11 attack on the plane without any proof. 

For 14 years being held at the Guantanamo Bay Detention camp, a U.S. military Prison out of the reach of the jurisdiction, he is set free. He was tortured into admitting that he was one of the members and helped with the attack. When in reality he was just protecting his mother as they had blackmailed that if he didn’t give in, they’d bring her at that particular station and torture her to death.

When Nancy finds this out, she and Teri make it their life’s mission to set the innocent man free.
