વરસાદની વેદના

            “ગજબનો છે આ માનવી, હું જો વરસું તો સમસ્યાઓ અને ન વરસું તો ફરિયાદો.” વરસાદ ગુસ્સામાં આવી બોલે છે. જરા અજીબ લાગ્યું ને? કે વરસાદ કઈ રીતે બોલે ભાઈ!!! સાચી વાત છે વરસાદ થોડો બોલી શકે. પણ એકવાર વિચાર માત્ર તો કરો કે, જો વરસાદ પણ આપણી જેમ જ બોલી શકતો હોત તો ??? તો આપણે તેની વેદના જાણી શકતા હોત. હવે તમને થશે વરસાદને વળી કેવી વેદના? કેમ! વેદના માત્ર મનુષ્યને જ હોઈ શકે બીજા કોઇ ને નહી?

              “સૌ કોઈ ઉનાળાની કાળઝાળ ગરમીથી ત્રાહીમામ પોકારી ઉઠ્યા હોય એવામાં વરસાદનું આગમન જાણે સ્વર્ગની અનુભૂતિ કરાવે છે. વળી એના લક્ષણો તો જુઓ! લીલીછમ ધરા, ભીંની માટીની સુવાસ, કળા કરી નાચતો મોર અને આભની શોભા વધારતું મેઘધનુષ. ચોમાસાનું આવું રમણીય દ્રશ્ય જોઈ મન આંનદીત અને પ્રફુલ્લિત થઈ જાય છે. વરસાદમાં કાગળની હોળી બનાવી પોતાને કપ્તાન જેક સ્પેરો(ફિલ્મનાં એક હીરોનું પાત્ર) સમજતા નાના ભૂલકાઓ, તો બીજી તરફ રસોડાઓમાં બનતા ગરમ-ગરમ ભજિયાં. રેડિયોમાં વાગતા જુના મધુર ગીત અને રીમઝીમ વરસતો વરસાદ. આહા…..!! ચોકોર સંગીતમય, આનંદિત અને મનને ગમે એવું આહલાદ્ક વાતાવરણ હોય.”

              લગભગ દરેક વ્યક્તિએ પોતાના જીવનકાળ દરમિયાન વર્ષાઋતુ પર નિબંધ લખ્યો જ હશે, અને અનાયાસે આવું જ બધું લખ્યું હશે. પરંતુ અત્યારનું ચિત્ર અલગ કંઈક જ જોવા મળે છે. એવું જણાય છે કે આ બધું માત્ર નિબંધ પૂરતું સીમિત રહી ગયું છે. અફસોસ! વરસાદના વહેતા નિરમા કાગળની હોળી બનાવીને તેની  પાછળ-પાછળ ફરતા ભૂલકાઓ આજે ઘરમાં પુરાઈને વિડિઓ ગેમ રમતા નજરે ચડે છે. 

            એક સમયની વાત છે, સવાર-સવારમાં શાળાના સમયે, બારીની બહાર મેઘરાજાની રમઝટ જામી હતી. છોકરાઓ બારીમાંથી ડોકું કાઢી જરા-જરા વારે જોઈ લેતા હતા. હજુ પણ એ કલ્પના સ્મૃતિપટલ પર છે કે, બધાનો જીવ બહાર જ લાગેલો હતો. શિક્ષક વર્ગખંડમાં આવી ખીજાઇ ને કહે છે કે, “બારીઓ બંધ કરો વર્ગમાં વાછટ(પાણીની નાનાં ટીપા) આવે છે.” ત્યારબાદ શિક્ષક બાળનાને પુસ્તક ખોલવા કહે છે. બોર્ડ પર તેમના સુંદર અક્ષરોથી લખે છે, “વર્ષાઋતુ”.  બાળકો પોતાની નજરોને બોર્ડ તરફ આકર્ષિત કરે છે જે બાદ શિક્ષક જાહેર કરે છે કે, “બાળકો આજે અપણે વર્ષાઋતુ પર નિબંધ લખીશું”. 

            કદાચ જો બાળકોને વરસાદ માણવા દેવામાં આવે તો એ સારી રીતે નિબંધ લખી શકે, નહીં કે વર્ષોથી શીખવવામાં આવતો એકનો-એક જૂનો અને જાણીતો  “વર્ષાઋતુ નિબંધ”. લોકો જાણવાની ભાગાભાગીમાં જે છે એ માણવાનું જ ભૂલી જાય છે. આજ બાળકોને એ કહેશું કે મેઘધનુષમાં કેટલાં રંગો છે તો લગભગ “સાત” એમ જવાબ તો મળી જશે પરંતુ એ આકાશમાં રંગોની ચાદર પાથરતો મેઘધનુષ જોવું તેમને ભાગ્યે જ નહિ હોય. 

          ખેડૂતની દીકરી પ્રાર્થના કરતી હતી, “હે ભગવાન! સારો વરસાદ આવે તો અમારો પાક નિષ્ફળ ન જાય” જયારે બીજી તરફ કુંભારની દીકરી પ્રાર્થના કરતી હતી કે, “હે ઈશ્વર! વરસાદ ન આવે તો સારું, નહિ તો અમારા માટીના વાસણની ભઠ્ઠી ઠરી જશે”. જયારે અન્ય જગ્યાઓ પાર નજારો દોડે છે ત્યારે એ પણ જોવા મળે છે કે ક્યાંક ઘરકામ કરતી સ્ત્રી ફરિયાદ કરતી હોય છે કે, “આ વરસાદ હવે રોકાય તો સારું, બધા કામ અટકી પડ્યા છે. જયારે નોકરી કરતા નોકરિયાત લોકો કહેતા જણાય છે કે, “વરસાદ આવે તો સારું આજ રજા મળી જશે”. આ એક ખેદકારક યાથાતથ્ય છે કે દરેકને મેઘરાજાની મહેર તો જોઈએ છે, પરંતુ પોતપોતાની અનુકૂળતા મુજબ. જો વરસાદ કોઈ વ્યક્તિ હોત તો ચોક્કસ ગુસ્સામાં આવી ફરિયાદ કરતો હોત કે, “માણસ જાતને સુખ પણ પોતાની અનુકૂળતાએ જ જોઈએ છે.”

            આવી પરિસ્થિતિઓમાં એવું જણાય છે કે આપણે સૌ જાણીને પણ અજાણ છીએ કે આ એક સાર્વત્રિક ચક્ર છે કે, વગર વરસાદ પાક કેમ થાય? વગર પાક ભોજન કેમ થાય? ખોરાક વીના જીવી કેમ શકાય? આપણાથી પોતાના સ્વાર્થમાં બીજા વિશે ભૂલી જવાય છે. માત્ર એટલું જ નહિ પરંતુ આ ભાગાભાગીવાળા જીવનમાં આપણે ખરા જીવનને માણવાનું પણ ભૂલી ગયા છીએ. વરસાદ તો આવે છે પણ આપણે પલળતાં ભૂલી ગયા. બીમારીના ડરથી બાળકો નાવ બનાવી તેને રસ્તાઓની ગલીઓમાંથી નીકળતા છીછરાં પાણીમાં તેને તરાવતા ભૂલી ગયા.

           વરસાદ ચોક્કસપણે દુઃખી થયો હશે.  પરંતુ ચિંતા ન કરશો, વરસાદ પણ પ્રકૃતિની જેમ બોલી નથી શકતો માટે કોઈને આ વાતની જાણ નહિ થાય.
